Virtually any site with reliable, stable side-onshore wind gusts (10 to 35+ knots), large available bodies of h2o and fantastic launch locations are suitable for kite flying. Most kiteboarding takes place along ocean shores, usually off beaches, but it can also be practiced on large lakes and inlets and occasionally on rivers. Since windsurf kiting relies heavily on favorable, constant breeze conditions, selected locations seem to become well loved and wanted out by kiteboarders.
